NetBackup™ Deduplication Guide

Deleting the MSDP server configuration and decommissioning the MSDP/media server

Use the instructions in the following articles to delete the MSDP server configuration and to decommission the MSDP server and media server.

  • Delete the configuration of the MSDP server:

    https://support.cohesity.com/s/article/article-100004810

  • Decommission the NetBackup media server if it is also a NetBackup media server:

    https://support.cohesity.com/s/article/article-100018898

Note:

If there are the failed images whose evacuation was canceled, those images may still exist in the NetBackup catalog. In this case, expiring those images is needed. Otherwise, the image expiration step will have no effect as all migrated images have already been cleaned up from the MSDP server.
