EMC Symmetrix Thin Pool Summary

Pool Name

The name of the storage pool links to EMC Symmetrix Thin Pool Detail.

Array Name

The array associated with the storage pool

Dev Emulation

Symmetrix drives can emulate standard disk drives, such as IBM, CKD (count-key-data), DASD, or FBA (Fixed Block Architecture) volumes.

RAID Type

RAID type

State

Pool state

Pool Capacity

The total capacity of the pool

Pool Used

The physical capacity that is assigned to all LUNs in the storage pool. From the array's perspective, consumed capacity is the same as allocated capacity.

% Used

Pool Used divided by Pool Capacity.

Pool Subscribed

The physical capacity that has been given to hosts/applications; this is from the host's perspective. This value is derived from total number of tracks in the storage pool times the pool subscribed percentage.

% Subscribed

The % of the pool capacity that has been presented to hosts/applications.

# of Devices

This number is the total of both thin and data devices.

# of Hosts

The number of hosts using this pool.

# of Enabled Devices

The number of the devices that are enabled.
