SNMP configurations

The SNMP traps can be issued from:

  1. Any saved tabular report instance, including custom reports that have been created via the Report Template Designer.

    Traps have the following characteristics:

    • A trap is sent for each row in a report; therefore, if a table is empty, no traps are sent.

    • The name of the report is included in the trap.

    • The trap includes data for each column in a row.

  2. Policy Based rules, which are created by choosing from a list of predefined policy rules in Alert Policy Administration.

    Traps have the following characteristics:

    • A trap is sent for each time the rules defined in policy are triggered. Traps are triggered only after rules is set to active and rule condition is met.
