Steps to recover an IMS

Following are the steps that you need to perform if an IMS is in irrecoverable state:

Deploy and configure a new IMS in the data center.
Move the Replication Gateway, Virtualization server, and virtual machines from the faulted IMS to the new IMS.

See Moving Hyper-V virtualization servers to another IMS.
See Moving the replication host to another IMS.
Similarly, in case of third-party replication, a new storage discovery host needs to be added to the newly configured IMS.
