Performing the rehearsal operation on virtual machines from VMware to AWS using NetBackup Image Sharing
Configure the VMware virtual machines for protection using a service objective where the data availability mode is Copy for target as cloud data center. Use the rehearsal option on the Resiliency Platform console to ensure the disaster recovery readiness of the assets in your protected resiliency groups. Before starting the rehearsal operation ensure the following:
There exists appropriate network mapping with a rehearsal network selected in cloud.
Resiliency Platform has connectivity with the NetBackup Cloud Recovery Server to perform the recover.
During the rehearsal operation, first the AMI is created on the cloud recovery data center with the selected backup image which is backed up to S3 bucket using NetBackup Image Sharing. Resiliency Platform uses this AMI to provision the cloud instance.
Resiliency Platform attempts to delete the AMIs that are created as part of the DR operations once the cloud instances are provisioned. You can safely remove any undeleted AMI that has a tag VRP-AMI-LifeCycle-State, whose value is set to Removable.
To perform the rehearsal operation on virtual machines from VMWare to AWS using NetBackup Image Sharing

Before you perform the rehearsal operation again, you must ensure that the previous rehearsal is cleaned up by running the Cleanup Rehearsal operation.
Note:
The rehearsal operation is not supported from AWS to VMware.
