Configuring the cloud direct for restore

A client-direct restore for the client must be enabled. You can configure cloud direct using the pdagutil command. The cloud direct restore is supported on Red Hat Linux only.

Before you configure cloud direct for restore, enable client-direct restore.

To configure the cloud direct for restore

  1. Configure the cloud direct for restore.

    /usr/openv/pdde/pdag/bin/pdagutil --config-cloud-direct-restore --storage-path <storage path> --cache-size <cache size>

  2. Enable the cloud direct for restore after configuration.

    /usr/openv/pdde/pdag/bin/pdagutil --update-cloud-direct-restore --enable

  3. Disable the cloud direct for restore after configuration.

    /usr/openv/pdde/pdag/bin/pdagutil --update-cloud-direct-restore --disable

  4. Update cache size.

    /usr/openv/pdde/pdag/bin/pdagutil --update-cloud-direct-restore --cache-size <cachesize>

  5. Restart the mtstrmd service for the configuration to take effect.

    /usr/openv/pdde/pdag/bin/mtstrmctl --shut-down
